Etymology Four! Registration

We’re pleased to announce our fourth annual Etymology weekend seminar! Join Douglas Harper and Gina Cooke to understand more about word stories and word structures, both historically and in the present day. Study entries in The Online Etymology Dictionary, including how they’re researched, how they’re written, what they tell us, and how they change. See what can and cannot be gleaned about morphology and etymology from the dictionary’s entries. Across the course of the weekend, we’ll pay special attention to how world history and word history are both captured in writing.
