LEXinar™: Why a Word is a Word

This single, two-hour LEXinar is built around the artist Dave Buchen’s Why is an Apple an Apple and Why is a Tiger a Tiger books. We will study and illuminate the etymology as Dave portrays it and compare it to etymological references. This LEXinar demonstrates the introduction of etymological study to children and explores ways to deepen that study through critical inquiry into this Buchen’s books and other etymological resources.
